TRAINING
Academy I - Fundamentals
Fundamental to player development is the acquisition of
appropriate technical skill. Our programs ensure this development, by using
scientific and technical support and practicing the skills in the real
context in which they are performed in the game. Again, we emphasize depth
of coverage, spending extended time to really improve performance, rather
than skip too quickly from one skill to the next.
Academy I Features:
-
Passing
-
Dribbling
-
Balance
-
Heading
-
Trapping
-
Shielding
-
Tackling
-
Shooting
Academy II - Specialized for Elite Players
Speed and Power Training
Training for speed and power provides players with greater ball
striking speed & jumping height, improved turning and 50-50 ball winning, &
improved maximal short-burst energy. The Academy offers two levels of speed
and power training: The Fundamental program uses a collection of
soccer-specific, developmentally appropriate activities such as plyometrics
& agility training. The Edge program adds technical components of power,
plus anticipation & reactivity. Both programs use a battery of scientific
tests to monitor progress.
Perceptual Awareness Training
One of the things that sets elite players apart is their ability
to constantly monitor their surroundings, providing them with the
information and time to make good decisions in a game. This program teaches
players a system to gain better perceptual awareness, leading in turn to
better technical performance and superior decision making.
Academy II Features:
-
Bending Over Wall
-
Fast Footwork
-
Quickness and Explosion
-
Power Shooting

CAMPS
Summer Camps-
Schedule to Follow
The Academy will be offering day camps this summer. These are
open to players aged 8-18.

What makes our camps different?
Most summer soccer camps offer the same
product with a different name. Soccer Palace Academy camps are different for
the following reasons: We teach skills in their realistic contexts, we cover
skills in depth rather than superficially, we coach factors such as
awareness, & we offer optional skill and talent profiling services with
tailored feedback for improvement.
